The establishment of the Neuroemotional Development Psychology Professional Community (NAU Professional Community) stems from the increasing demand for knowledge systems and content dissemination in neuroemotional developmental psychology in China, as well as the local clinical needs for psychological treatment and intervention for children, adolescents, and their families. The community aims to address the growing demand for neuroemotional development-oriented psychological assessment and intervention for children, adolescents, and their families in clinical psychological practice in China, while also supporting mental health work that promotes the physical and mental health of children and a sustainable development environment in China (including Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan).
Our vision is to support children’s and families’ long-term well-being through evidence-based, developmentally grounded, and family-inclusive approaches, as well as ensures adherence to the highest standards of education and training. Our community serves children, adolescents, families, and professionals working in clinical and educational settings. Its main goals are to strengthen developmentally informed assessment, enhance parenting skills, and support emotional and behavioral self-regulation across family systems.
We support the development of local integrated healthcare networks, as well as hospital-community- and school-based mental health services for children and adolescents, as well as the psykosociale institutions.
